A 100-cubic-metre balloon was delivered to be used in the Cryo-Compressor Building (G04) . It will be mounted on a support frame in the ceiling and will be used to recycle the helium gas in the ESS cryo-system. The cryo cooling supply system is expected to be commissioned in the fall. The D03 Instrument Hall on the north side of the Target Station (D02) now has its concrete foundations in place for casting of the thick bottom slab. Fine excavation is ongoing at the very far end of the Target Station for the transport and administration areas. Only two castings remain for the Monolith vault, and already work on the next level of Monolith walls has begun, bringing the Monolith above ground level for the first time. In the Active Cells area, structural and reinforcement work for the heavy-duty walls there continues.
