The ESS user programme
The user programme is at the heart of ESS. The User Office is developing processes and services to support users throughout their journey - from applying for beam time to preparing, running, and completing experiments at ESS. These processes will be designed to ensure transparent access, to connect users to the right instruments, and to maximise the impact of ESS research.
As part of this ongoing development, ESS is building User Office Software (UOS). UOS is a central online portal that will enable users to register, submit proposals, manage access, and plan experiments at ESS as these capabilities are progressively introduced.
