ESS-ILL Joint User meeting

Save the date for the 2026

ESS and ILL, Europe’s two neutron facilities, invite the neutron scattering community to the joint ESS-ILL User Meeting, which will take place in Lund from 18 to 20 November.

This will be the 5th edition of the joint User meeting, which occurs every two years, alternating between the two facilities.

The goal is to review the achievements of the neutron User community, present the status and perspectives of ESS and ILL, and, importantly, look ahead to the scientific opportunities shaping the future of neutron science.

These meetings are opportunities for exchange and collaboration, with a view to fully exploring opportunities that neutron scattering offers to a range of research fields, including materials science, chemistry, biology, energy, quantum and particle physics.
