Last week at the construction site, in the Target Building (D02), the first part of the vault on A2T (Accelerator to Target) was cast (on the east side, 1,1 meters thick).

The second part of A2T tunnel vault on the west side is scheduled for casting this week. The 4 remaining pillars for the A2T area also remain to be cast. Formwork around the top of the Monolith circular walls is being installed, to facilitate the continued reinforcement of the high bay vault.

This week, an elevator will be installed in Target, to be used by staff working on high bay vault level. Casting of heavy concrete walls in Active Cell level 3 are planned for this week and will continue throughout the year.

Drilling for the 31 steel core piles in the Admin area of Target was completed, and the 25 to 28-meter-long piles hit the bedrock last week.

Excavation for process pipes between Substation D05 and the E-buildings continued last week. Installed pipes behind Central Utility Building (CUB) (H01) are subject to backfill.

At the Gallery Building (G02), the build-up of the north bunker wall, connecting to the cryo-chicane, was completed last week and bunker block construction has proceeded to the opposite wall. Approximately half of the 578 concrete blocks for the bunker are now in place.

E-Buildings - Metal cladding and frames continue for the facades of the E-buildings. Internal doors are to be fitted between Experimental Hall 3 (E01) and the two lab buildings, starting this week. Installation of the overhead crane in E01 experimental hall will start in the middle of December, with preparations and electrical works to begin this week. Test & Commissioning for various MEP systems is currently ongoing.
