A mechanical engineer by training, Vjeko Begic brings over 20 years of experience in engineering and integration projects across leading international industries. He joins ESS from Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions, where he was most recently Vice-President for Equipment Engineering.
Throughout his career, Vjeko Begic has led multifunctional teams of managers and engineers across different countries and continents. He has driven cross-company strategic programmes, encompassing technology and product development, business operations and automation. Mr. Begic holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Lund University.
In his new role, Mr. Begic will provide strategic direction for the Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate, to ensure that it functions to develop, maintain and enhance ESS’ engineering capabilities, IT infrastructure and facility management services, as well as maintain a high level of multi-disciplinary engineering expertise to support the end of the current project phase and future long-term steady-state operations. He will join ESS to start shaping the Directorate on 1 February.
